Dr. Gayatribala Panda started writing poems with no ostentatious feminist leaning. But her creative evolution experienced a rapid unrest and her poems toasted to feminism in all its grandiose colours. The poetic-self in her poetry is vexed whenever there is a wrong done to a woman. But the delicate fabric of her poems, that catapulted her to the readers’ shock-and-adulation sustains, even as her creative sensibility has been negotiating the cruelties of a time she would not have wished to live.
